Life_Enabled was a two-year program of content development, engagement, and advocacy that positioned HUB as a thought leader and innovator in connecting, activating, and measuring urban life in public places.

The project encompassed a series of projects that led to collaboratively developing and publishing best practice principles and protocols for empowering urban life through technology and data.

The core components of the program included:
- The Digital Urbanist - a blog site for disseminating knowledge
- Urban Life_Enabled - a podcast and webinar series
- Place Future Notes - a series of short papers summarising critical elements of digital urbanism
- The Charter for Digital Urbanism - a series of benchmarks for smart urban development
- Street Lab - a series of discoveries to understand the future uses of our streets as public places
- The Digital Trust Project - an R&D project to prototype communication tools for public realm technology deployment and data gathering
- Planning for Connectivity - a new approach to master planning that encompasses mobile connectivity as critical infrastructure
